I guess I shouldn't be surprised, though, but it sounded almost like I was writing those thoughts myself. I, too, am hopeful--exceedingly optimistic--even though I recognize with Kurt that the system requires getting elected before one can govern, so it is hard to know just what Obama feels about some things. With you, I am deeply disturbed about his unconditional support for Israel, yet I know the pressure he is under. I'm glad you are recognizing the enormity of Obama's election to that office.
